The WSSO has developed over a dozen original, scripted "concert dramas".  This season we offered three productions for schools on Friday, December 13 in addition to a family concert (open to public) on Saturday, December 14.  All shows were presented at St. Patrick's School in Carlisle, PA.

 

"Music in Motion" taught young listeners about rhythm & tempo, featuring cello soloist Michael Cameron and orchestral music composed by Gustav Holst, Georg Frederic Handel, and more!  We made connections to modes of transportation and ways of moving:  floating in space, walking, riding a motorcycle, sailing, and flying in a rocket ship.

Susquehanna University music education major Madelyn Widnick led a Production Team of middle school students from Camp Curtin Academy and Saint Patrick School who demonstrated audience participation movements.
